Chelsea & Donnie are some cute ones. Their day brought lots of laughs, an amazing dance party, and lots of tears- the best kind of tears. Everyone got ready all together in an adorable Airbnb in Raleigh and then we scurried along to the Stockroom at 230 downtown to see these two tie the knot. The design of their day was pretty much a moody September dream, and I loved all the elements they incorporated to make their day unique and true to the two of them.
Sometimes when I don’t shoot a couple’s engagement session, it can cause a disconnect since IÂ don’t have a chance to get to know them well prior to the wedding day, and to be honest, sometimes I get a little nervous for those days. For Chelsea & Donnie, it was different. As soon as I saw them together on their wedding day, I picked up on their dynamic immediately. Their love felt electric, and judging by the toasts given and seeing those around them, I think everyone else could feel it too. While editing, their love and the way they looked at each other jumped out of the images. It’s pretty cool to be a part of moments like that. I could feel a depth in the love they shared, and I’m pretty sure you’ll see it too.
